Sahl ibn Sa'd reported that the Prophet (sallalahu alaiyhis wasallam) said, "The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this," and he held his two fingers together to illustrate. (Bukhari)
Abu Hurairah (radhi Allahu anhu) reported the Prophet (sallalahu alaiyhi wasallam) saying, "One who strives to help the widows and the poor is like the one who fights in the way of Allah." The narrator said: I think that he (sallalahu alaiyhi wasallam) also added: "I shall regard him as the one who stands up (for prayer) without rest and as the one who observes fasts continuously". (Bukhari and Muslim)
The above two blessed Ahadeeth bring to light the status orphans, widows and the needy have in Islam. Through aiding them, we have been promised numerous rewards as well as the companionship of Rasoolullah (sallalahu alaiyhi wasallam) in Jannah, Insha-Allah. To fulfil the rights of these women and children; especially those living in underprivileged environments; Peoples Needs has taken a portion of this responsibility upon ourselves and we invite you to share in the rewards also.
We take great pride in using our resources along with your generous donations in providing these needy families with not only the necessities of food, clean water, clothing and accommodation but education also, so that they may have a chance of a brighter future. Alhamdulillah our purpose built local schools led by our fully trained teaching staff provide an environment of security and hope for these children. As for the widows left behind without a male guardian; we do our utmost in helping these sisters and single-mothers rebuild their lives through our sponsorship programmes. Such assistance provides much needed support at an extremely vulnerable time in their lives.
